PLVG plug valve is a rotary valve with a closure or plunger shape. It is a type of valve that opens or closes by rotating 90 degrees to make the channel port on the valve plug the same or separate from the channel port on the valve body. The shape of the valve plug of a rotary valve can be cylindrical or conical. In a cylindrical valve plug, the channel is generally rectangular; In a conical valve, the channel is trapezoidal. These shapes make the structure of the plug valve lightweight, but at the same time, they also result in certain losses. Plug valves are most suitable for cutting off and connecting media, as well as for diverting flow, but depending on their properties and the erosion resistance of the sealing surface, they can sometimes also be used for throttling.

Q:When should a plug valve be used?
The application scenarios of plug valves are well-defined, primarily occurring in situations where rapid on/off control of fluid pipelines is required or periodic flushing of pipeline impurities is necessary.
Q:What specific areas are involved?
For instance, pipelines in the petroleum and chemical industries that transport corrosive oils/gases or chemical slurries, as well as sewage conveyance lines handling wastewater containing sediment impurities, all require flushable plug valves with excellent sealing performance and erosion resistance for effective control.
The core advantages are concentrated in three key dimensions: Firstly, excellent sealing performance. The eccentric structural design allows the valve plug to automatically disengage or engage with the sealing surface during the opening and closing process, reducing wear on the sealing surface. It maintains a zero-leakage sealing effect even after long-term use, avoiding potential safety hazards and energy waste caused by medium leakage. Secondly, easy and effortless opening and closing. The eccentric structural design effectively reduces the frictional resistance during valve opening and closing. Compared to traditional valves of the same diameter, the operating torque can be reduced by more than 30%. Even large-diameter valves can be easily manually operated, suitable for various manual or automated control scenarios. Lastly, longer service life. The combination of erosion-resistant and wear-resistant sealing materials with low-wear opening and closing logic increases the service life of the entire valve by more than double compared to traditional valves. The maintenance cost for long-term use is lower, reducing the additional expenses for frequent valve replacement for enterprises.
