PLVG plug valve is a rotary valve with a closure or plunger shape. It is a type of valve that opens or closes by rotating 90 degrees to make the channel port on the valve plug the same or separate from the channel port on the valve body. The shape of the valve plug of a rotary valve can be cylindrical or conical. In a cylindrical valve plug, the channel is generally rectangular; In a conical valve, the channel is trapezoidal. These shapes make the structure of the plug valve lightweight, but at the same time, they also result in certain losses. Plug valves are most suitable for cutting off and connecting media, as well as for diverting flow, but depending on their properties and the erosion resistance of the sealing surface, they can sometimes also be used for throttling.

Q:When should a plug valve be used?
The application scenarios of plug valves are well-defined, primarily occurring in situations where rapid on/off control of fluid pipelines is required or periodic flushing of pipeline impurities is necessary.
Q:What specific areas are involved?
For instance, pipelines in the petroleum and chemical industries that transport corrosive oils/gases or chemical slurries, as well as sewage conveyance lines handling wastewater containing sediment impurities, all require flushable plug valves with excellent sealing performance and erosion resistance for effective control.
The core advantages are concentrated in three key dimensions: First, exceptional sealing performance – the eccentric structure design enables the valve plug to automatically disengage or engage with the sealing surface during operation, minimizing wear and maintaining zero-leak sealing even after prolonged use, thereby preventing safety hazards and energy waste caused by fluid leakage. Second, effortless operation – this design significantly reduces friction resistance during valve opening and closing, reducing operating torque by over 30% compared to traditional valves of the same size; even large-diameter valves can be easily operated manually, making them suitable for both manual and automated applications. Finally, extended service life – combined with erosion-resistant, wear-resistant sealing materials and a low-wear actuation mechanism, the valve's overall lifespan exceeds that of conventional valves by more than twice, resulting in lower long-term maintenance costs and reduced expenses associated with frequent valve replacements.
