Under the following Conditions,Pressure Balanced bellow Type Safety Relief valve should be used:
1. When the process fluid in the secondary pressure area of the safety relief valve requires a double sealing layer.
2. When the back pressure of the valve is between 10% and 50% of the set pressure.
3. When the conventional safety relief valve discharges with back pressure, the opening pressure equals to the set pressure, and the atmospheric back pressure increases with the actual superimposed back pressure before the valve is opened.
If the back pressure changed, the opening pressure of the conventional safety relief valve will be also changed.
To solve this problem, it is strongly recommended to use a Pressure Balanced bellow Type Safety Relief valve. The effective area of the bellow is basically the same as the installation area of the valve disc on the nozzle, and the bellow is discharged to the atmosphere through holes drilled into the bonnet wall. In this way, the opening pressure of the safety relief valve has nothing to do with the back pressure.
