Common troubleshooting methods for Control valves
The key parts of the control valve should be inspected when a fault occurs
1. The inner wall of the valve. For the regulating valve used in high pressure difference and corrosive medium, the inner wall of the valve is often impacted and corroded by the medium. It is necessary to check the pressure resistance and corrosion resistance.
2. When the valve seat and the regulating valve are in operation, due to the penetration of the medium, the threaded inner surface for fixing the valve seat is easily corroded and the valve seat becomes loose. Pay attention to it during inspection. For valves that work under high pressure difference, check whether the sealing surface of the valve seat is damaged.
3. The spool, the spool is the movable part of the regulating valve when it is working, and it is most severely corroded by the medium. It is necessary to carefully check whether each part of the spool is corroded or worn during maintenance, especially under the condition of high pressure difference. The wear is more serious (due to cavitation phenomenon) should be paid attention to. The spool should be replaced when it is severely damaged. In addition, pay attention to whether the valve stem has similar phenomena, or the connection with the valve core is loose.
4. Whether the "O" seal ring and other seals are aged or cracked.
5. Pay attention to whether the PTFE packing, sealing lubricating grease is aging, and the mating surface is damaged, and should be replaced when necessary.
