The application of valves in different industries

1. Petroleum and petrochemical industry

(1) Refinery unit: mainly uses pipeline valves such as gate valves, globe valves, check valves, safety valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, etc. Among them, the demand for gate valves accounts for about 80% of the total number of valves.

Chemical fiber equipment: mainly uses ball valves, jacket valves (such as jacket ball valves, jacket gate valves, jacket globe valves), etc.

With the development of offshore oil field exploitation, the demand for valves on offshore platforms is gradually increasing.

5. Food and pharmaceutical industry

The industry has high requirements for the hygiene and corrosiveness of valves, mainly using stainless steel ball valves, non-toxic all plastic ball valves, butterfly valves, etc.

6. Construction industry

Valves are widely used in HVAC systems and water supply and drainage systems, mainly using low-pressure valves such as rubber plate valves, balance valves, etc. At present, it is developing towards environmentally friendly and energy-saving directions.

Safety performance of valves

1. High pressure resistance: Valves need to be able to withstand the working pressure of the system to ensure that they will not leak or be damaged under high pressure.

2. Corrosion resistance: Valves need to have good corrosion resistance to adapt to corrosive environments in different media.

3. High temperature resistance: In high temperature environments, valves need to maintain stable performance and sealing.

4. Wear resistance: The sealing surface and opening and closing components of the valve need to have good wear resistance performance to ensure long-term stable use.


Anti leakage design of valves

The anti leakage design of valves is the key to ensuring the safety of fluid control systems. Here are some common valve leak prevention design measures:

1. Selection of sealing materials: Choose suitable sealing materials based on the characteristics of the medium and working pressure, such as rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc.

2. Design of sealing structure: Adopt reasonable sealing structure design, such as single eccentricity, double eccentricity, triple eccentricity, etc., to improve sealing performance.

3. Metal sealing pair: In high temperature, high pressure, or highly corrosive environments, the use of metal sealing pairs can improve the sealing performance and durability of valves.

4. Safety valve setting: When the system pressure exceeds the set value, the safety valve can automatically open, release pressure, and protect equipment and systems from overpressure damage.

5. Regular maintenance and inspection: Regularly inspect and maintain valves, replace damaged seals and components in a timely manner, and ensure the normal operation and sealing performance of valves.
